Game based grammar teaching

Grammar can be boring ! Why not try one of these games to motivate your students? My students found both games quite entertaining and it also helped most of them to learn the correct word order in S. Present Questions  in a playful ,enjoyable way! Both games  can facilitate the understanding of other grammatical patterns as well.

 a) Broken Sentences

Form groups of four , make 4 photocopies for this set of questions, give one to each group(cut in pieces) and ask them to make meaningful questions in simple present in a certain amount of time! The amount of time depends on the level of your students!

b)Building Blocks

Looking for a playful way to present Simple present tense,I found this great idea from a teacher of a private English school.I remembered my daughter’s building blocks and tried it in 5th grade. My students loved it!
